American Plumber WRC25HD20 Radial Flow Carbon Filter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here. Today we’re looking at the American Plumber WRC25HD20. This is an industry standard size cartridge approximately 20 inches in length and 4 ½ inches in diameter, which means it’s going to fit into a variety of industry standard size filter housings, like for example, the very popular Pentek 20BB and many others. Now, this filter is a radial flow granular activated carbon filter. Radial flow filters provide superior flow rates with very low pressure loss. This makes them ideal for whole house filtration and a significantly better choice than regular axial flow granular activated carbon filters. Now, they do this by sandwiching a thick layer of granular activated carbon between two layers of 25 micron spun polypropylene. This filter is NSF Standard 42 certified for material quality and will reduce chlorine taste and odor, organic and inorganic contaminants, and of course, sediment. Now if you want to deal with a chlorine or odor problem at the whole house level, this is a great choice. If you’ve tried other filters, other carbon blocks, or axial flow GAC filters and you’ve suffered pressure loss and flow restriction, then this is what you’ve been looking for. Again, this is the American Plumber WRC25HD20, a radial flow granular activated carbon filter, and I’m your host Tony the Filter Doctor. Thanks for watching.
