Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here. Today we’re looking at the Brita Everyday Filter Pitcher. It’s also known as the 35509.
This is a basic, no frills filter pitcher with a ten cup capacity, and like all the other Brita filter pitchers, it uses the OB03 water filter, which is NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified to reduce lead, mercury, cadmium, zinc and, of course, sediment and chlorine taste and odor. And the materials have been certified as non-leaching and 100% BPA free.
This pitcher is approximately the size of a gallon of milk; it will comfortably fit in that size slot in your refrigerator. And it doesn’t have an electronic filter indicator or anything like that, as I indicated, just a real basic pitcher. This is perfect for someone getting into filtered water; you’re not sure if you really want to spend the money on a filter system, you’re going to test the concept of filtered water. This is an inexpensive, entry level model.
