Also known as the 155186, the CW-F is manufactured from a durable polypropylene cord that is wound around a rigid polypropylene core. They are an economical solution to reduce fine sediment, including sand, silt, rust and scale particles. Hi everyone, Aquaman here with Water Wisdom sponsored by WaterFilters.NET. Today's product is the Culligan CW-F. Now, this is just a real basic sediment filter. It is an industry standard size, approximately 10 inches long by 2.5 inches in diameter. This one is actually a little bit narrower than that, but it's in that standard 10 by 2.5 category. And, this is a 10 micron sediment filter. 10 microns is about half the size of a speck of milled flour. So you are going to capture some pretty fine sediment with this. And, this is a string wound poly-propylene. So they take the poly-propylene, they weave it into a string, and then they spool that string on to the cartridge. It's a very effective way to make an inexpensive sediment filter. 10 microns, because it's poly-propylene, it's perfectly appropriate for either untreated, or treated water. This is bacteriostatic media, so micro organisms are not going to live and grow on this. And it comes in this handy two pack so you get a little bit better deal than you do buying individual cartridges. And, it's just a basic filter for basic sediment removal.
