Doulton W9330062 Under Sink Filter System Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here. Today weíre looking at the Doulton W9330062. This is Doultonís under sink filter system that features the Sterasyl ceramic filter element. It comes with a mounting bracket and the necessary screws, but it does not have a complete installation kit. Doulton has done that for those of you that are replacing an existing filter system. Obviously you donít need the complete installation kit because you have everything there; all you really need is a new filter housing and the necessary mounting bracket. But if you want this system with the complete installation kit, then purchase it under part number W9330962. Itís the same system with the complete installation kit. Now, this system features the Sterasyl, which is a hollow core ceramic only filter element from Doulton. And, of course, it features their standard ceramic technology with imbedded silver. And make a note here; that the imbedded silver is superior to silver impregnating, which allows silver to escape and get into your drinking water. That wonít be a problem with the Doulton element; the imbedded silver stays exactly where it needs to stay in the ceramic. And you want the silver, because it causes the filter to be bacteriostatic and self-sterilizing so that microorganisms cannot live and grow on this filter element. And the ceramic is very dense, providing absolute filtration down to 0.9 microns, which equates to 99.99% reduction of microbial cysts like cryptosporidium and giardia, and the same level of protection for pathogenic bacteria like salmonella, e coli, and cholera. But perhaps the greatest feature of the Doulton ceramic filters is the reusability factor. These elements can be washed and reused up to fifty times. Simply remove it from the filter housing, and under running water take a green Scotchbrite and gently scrub the surface until it returns to itsí original creamy white color, then reinstall and youíre back in business. Now, the filter housing itself features 3/8 inch female pipe thread quick connect fittings. And Iíll zoom in here in a moment and show you these up close along with everything else. If youíve never used quick connect fittings before itís difficult probably for you to appreciate how amazing they are. They are bullet proof and they make it so easy to install a system like this. Now, of course, the entire unit is manufactured from acetal polyester and is NSF Standard 42 certified for material requirement, which tells us this is a BPA free system. And, the entire system is, of course, NSF Standard 53 certified, which basically pertains to the ceramic element, and itsí capacity to capture microbial cysts and pathogenic bacteria. This is a high quality product; thatís all that Doulton makes are really high quality products. Again, it is the Doulton W9330062, an under sink filter system featuring the Sterasyl ceramic filter element. Iím your host Tony the Filter Doctor. Thanks for watching.
