FMS-1 Sensor for the FM-1 Filter Monitor Video Transcript
Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today weíre looking at the HM Digital FMS-1.
The FMS-1 is the replacement sensor for the FM-1 filter monitor. Now, I expect youíre going to get many years of good use out of the original sensor that comes with your FM-1, but eventually over time calcium deposits, magnesium and other minerals will collect on the internal parts in the sensor and cause it to fail. At that point it will need to be replaced. But the good news is, you donít need to replace your entire system, you simply replace the sensor, plug it back in to the jacks on the FM-1 and youíre back in business.
Now, the FMS-1 is a timer, it simply turns a timer on or off, every time water is flowing the timer comes on and itís counting minutes and adding them up inside of the control module. And then when you reach a certain amount of time; three months, six months, whatever you told the filter monitor for your particular filter, then it will alert you that the filter needs to be changed.
Iím telling you this, because this is not a volumizing totalizer, it is not measuring the actual number of gallons that go through your system. For that, you need the FMS-2, which is a different sensor designed for the FM-2 system.
Again, this is the FMS-1, a timer replacement sensor for the FM-1 filter monitor from HM Digital.
