Faucet Mount Water Filter Overview Video Transcript:
Hey everyone. Karl here with Water Wisdom sponsored by WaterFilters.NET. We carry a wide range of faucet filter systems for use at home, including a number of the popular brands of water filter products, such as Culligan, GE and Brita. We also have a large variety of Instapure brand faucet mount filters. They come in both white and chrome, depending on your style preference for color.
The best way to go about selecting a faucet filter is simply to choose the brand you are interested in, or to scroll through the most popular products and see which may have the features you would prefer. If all else fails, feel free to contact our customer service department and they would be happy to help you with that selection--either by email or by telephone.
The compact nature of the faucet filter makes it an ideal choice if you are dealing with limited space. It also assembles quite quickly and conveniently for almost immediate use. Everything you need will be included right in the system's box. It doesn’t require tools to assemble or to install, and the adapters, the rubber gaskets or other pieces you might need to make it work on your particular faucet will generally be included right with the system. That makes it a logical choice if you want a no-mess, little-fuss arrangement right there at your kitchen sink.
There is a great deal of simplicity and convenience that comes with the faucet filter, and so it is primarily designed for reducing bad taste and odor issues in the water, especially chlorine taste and odor. The more sophisticated models, which will cost a little bit more, come with the added advantage of reducing other contaminants, such as the heavy metal lead--which is of course toxic--and cysts, such as
giardia and
cryptosporidium. You want to replace the filter cartridge about every two months, depending on your water usage, and also your local drinking water supply, with any contamination issues that may be present in your area.
Again, the more advanced models will often have an indicator light built right into the system so that you will know exactly when it is time to change the filter. When you are using the filter, be sure only to run cold tap water through the faucet filter. But if you need to run hot water to wash the dishes or for some other purpose, you simply flip the switch right on the faucet filter and use the tap water as needed. That switch provides some added convenience for when you do or do not wish to use the filtered water. And remember: you can also use the filtered water not only for drinking but also for cooking.
So as you can see, the faucet mount filter is a great option for home use. It's a quick fix: an effective way to improve both the taste and quality of your water. This has been Water Wisdom sponsored by WaterFilters.NET. I'm Karl; thanks for watching.
