- GE FXUSC Water Filters:
- The GE SmartWater FXUSC water filter has a polyspun construction.
- The GE FXUSC water filters reduce sand, soil, silt, sediment and rust.
- The GE FXUSC replacement water filter cartridges fit in whole house water filter systems and reverse osmosis systems for 10" x 2.5" filters.
- This filter is also known as the GE FXUSC rev. 2 model, as it replaces the GE FXUSC filter that came before it. The original GE FXUSC filter had a 5 micron rating whereas this filter has a 30 micron rating.
- GE FXUSC Interchangeable Filter:
- Use the less expensive P20-10-WF Water Filter. The P20-10-WF filter is a 20 micron sediment filter which provides more sediment reduction than the GE FXUSC 30 micron rating.
- The GE FXUSC filter used to be 5 micron filter but GE changed the filter to a 30 micron rating. A filter with a 5 micron rating reduces more sediment than a filter with a 30 micron rating. If you had the FXUSC with a 5 micron rating or if you would like to switch to the 5 micron filter, use the less expensive P5-10-WF Water Filter. The P5-10-WF filter is a 5 micron sediment filter.
