GE GSWF Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the GE GSWF fridge filter. This is one of the newest models from GE and it fits in the new refrigerators that GE is manufacturing. It’s, as you might expect, NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified, and there is a long list of contaminants that it reduces. The usual suspects are on the list, chlorine, Class 1 particulate, lindane, atrazine, lead, mercury, asbestos, toxaphene, benzene, nasty things that you don’t want in your drinking water. It’s also certified for the unique requirements of the state of California.

It’s a typical fridge filter so you need to replace it approximately every 6 months. Don’t ever go longer than 6 months, it’s just not a good idea. I also want you to be aware that you don’t confuse the GSWF with the new filter from GE, the MSWF. They look a lot alike, but they do not fit into the same socket, so make sure you get the right filter for your refrigerator. This is the GE GSWF, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
