  • The GE GXILQR water filter has 1/4" FPT connections. The GE GXILQ system is required to install the GE GXILQR replacement filter.
  • The GE SmartWater GXILQR refrigerator water filter reduces lead, cysts, chlorine taste and odor, sand, sediment, silt, and rust.
  • The GE GXILQR inline water filter meets the NSF / ANSI standard 53 for the reduction of 99.99% of lead and 99.99% of cysts.

GE has discontinued the GE GXILQR inline filter. The Omnipure K5515-BB Water Filter is the same style filter and is a compatible replacement for the GE GXILQR. To use the K5515-BB Filter you will simply unscrew the water line fittings from the old GXILQR filter and screw the water line fittings into the new K5515-BB filter. You can replace the fittings on your water line with two of the compatible FCMC1044-WF Fittings available below or reuse the 1/4" male pipe thread fittings currently on your water line. 1/4" male pipe thread fittings are needed to use the K5515-BB filter. Alternatively, GE recommends the GXRLQ water filter system below to replace your GXILQR filter. The GE GXRLQ filter is a different style of filter system and will completely replace your GXILQR filter.
