The GE MSWF water filter does not remove Fluoride from your drinking water.
The GE MSWF filter cartridge is tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53.

GE MSWF Water Filter Replacement Information:
The GE MSWF refrigerator water filter should be replaced every six months or if your water has a bad taste or odor.
Installing your new water filter:
First, turn the used filter slightly in the counterclockwise direction.
Second, remove the used filter by pulling it in the downward direction. The water will shut off automatically at this point.
Third, fill the new filter with cold water and set the new filter where the used filter used to be. Push it towards the fridge until it cannot be pushed anymore.
Fourth, twist the new filter onto the fridge by turning slightly in the clockwise direction.
Fifth, run water through the filter for a minute or so to clear the air bubbles from the filter.
As always, remember to mark the date at which you changed your filter and set a reminder to change your filter for sometime between 3 and 6 months depending on your water. Also, remember to push the “reset filter” button or the “filter replaced” button depending on the type of refrigerator.
