- GE Merlin 1240632 Booster Pump:
- The QJS-554 Fittings are required, and sold separately below.
- The GE Merlin Booster Pump 1240632 increases line pressure up to 60 psi. The pump is used on the supply line.
- We strongly recommend the GE Merlin booster pump with all GE Merlin purchases because the Merlin operates best at 60 psi. The Merlin pump is a special variable speed pump that is made especially for the membranes in the Merlin system.
- If your feed water pressure is below 45 psi, the GE Merlin Pressure Booster Pump is a required part for the GE Merlin RO System to operate properly.
- The GE Merlin reverse osmosis system works on water pressures of 40 psi (2.8 bar) minimum to 80 psi (5.5 bar) maximum. Water pressure can be reduced by installing a pressure reducing valve in the water supply pipe to
the RO system. This GE Merlin booster pump should be used for low pressure applications.
- Continuous cycling of the pump is normal when the pump is used with the GE Merlin system.
- The GE Merlin Booster Pump is designed to synchronize the proper pressure and flows to the GE Merlin Reverse Osmosis System to gain optimum efficiency and permeate recovery.
- Some benefits of the GE Merlin Booster Pump are that it increases flow and total GPD output and improves TDS water quality.
- The GE Merlin Booster Pump is manufactured by Aquatec for the GE Merlin Reverse Osmosis System. The Aquatec part number is 5501-IVN2-V77DUL or 5501-1EN2-V77D.
- The GE Merlin 1240632 Pressure Booster Pump can help to resolve the following problems: low driving pressure, low water temperature, and high total dissoved solids (TDS).
- GE Merlin Pressure Booster Pump Specs:
- Pump Output Pressure: 60 psi
- 3.8GPM
- 110V
- Manufacturer: GE Osmonics 5501-IVN2-V77DUL
- GE Merlin RO System Replacement Parts:
- Housing Sump O-Rings: The GE Merlin 1240326 Housing Sump O-Rings should be replaced every couple of filter changes or when there is damage to the o-ring. Use o-ring lubricant to keep the oring effective at sealing the housing sumps.
- GE Merlin Booster Pump Instructions:
- When installing the pump, use short tubing runs to decrease flow restriction. Increase tubing diameter for longer distances.
- 110V pump. The power cord is 6 feet.

- Reverse Osmosis System Recommended Care:
- Change your filters and membrane at the recommended frequency, and clean your system with a product like Sani-System SS96RO, an easy to use, pre-measured, reverse osmosis system sanitizer, available below.
