Katadyn 8017758 MyBottle Microfilter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the Katadyn 8017758. This is the MyBottle Microfilter. Designed for outdoorsy people, hunters, campers, hikers, fisherman, anyone really who’s in a circumstance where you’re drawing water from an unknown source. Maybe it’s a lake, a stream, a pond, a deep puddle even; something that you just don’t know what’s going on with that water and you need an extremely high level of protection. That’s what the Microfilter MyBottle is designed for. It meets the EPA Standard for microbiological water purification, which tells us that it removes things like pathogenic bacteria and microbial cysts, like cryptosporidium and giardia. It does this combining a 0.3 micron glass fiber filter element with a carbon core. In combination they remove those microorganisms that I already mentioned and a vast array of chemicals and nasty tastes and odors from water making it perfect for drinking. The filters last approximately 26 gallons, and the MyBottle can be upgraded to an even higher level of filtration by installing the Virustat 8011555 filter cartridge. That adds the addition of an iodinated resin which also kills viruses, giving you even more protection. Again, this is the MyBottle Microfilter, Katadyn part number 8017758, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
