• Replacing the LG LT500P / LG 5231JA2002A Water Filter:
• First, twist the used filter off the fridge by turning slightly in the counterclockwise direction.
• Second, remove the used filter by pulling it in the downward direction. The water will shut off automatically at this point.
• Third, set the new filter where the used filter used to be. Push it towards the fridge until it cannot be pushed anymore.
• Fourth, twist the new filter onto the fridge by turning slightly in the clockwise direction.
• As always, remember to mark the date at which you changed your filter and set a reminder to change your filter for sometime between 3 and 6 months depending on your water. Also, remember to reset your filter change reminder light if your refrigerator has one. This can be done by holding the reset button for a few seconds.
