Omnipure Q5633 Video Transcript
Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the Omnipure Q5633.
This is an acid washed, granular activated carbon filter. The acid washing is only significant because it reduces the amount of carbon fines and carbon dust in the filter cartridge; thus reducing the amount of purging and rinsing you need to do when you install a new filter cartridge.
Now, the Q-series cartridges are available in a variety of lengths. You can get the exact same type of cartridge, with the same threading and valve head configuration in 8 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch, like you see here, and 14 inch lengths.
They’re designed to fit into the Q-series quick change valve heads designed by Omnipure.
Now, those of you out there who have this exact same part number but ending in a -66, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. Those are proprietary type cartridges from De Pure, and you either need to get your cartridges from De Pure, or you need to change your valve heads in order to use these less expensive Omnipure filter cartridges. If you have -66 at the end of your part number, these are not compatible with your current valve heads.
Now, the Q-series cartridges are NSF Standard 42 certified for the reduction of chlorine taste and odor and sediment. And they fit into PuROTwist 3000 and 4000 reverse osmosis systems.
This particular cartridge is certified for 2,500 gallons of filter life or approximately one year, whichever comes first.
Again, this is the Omnipure Q5633, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com.
