Pentek 158002 #5 3/8" Opaque Water Filter Housing:
The Pentek 158002 5 inch housing is perfect for applications in RVs or campers, boats, for small sinks, countertop residential filtration, pre- and post reverse osmosis filtration, or humidifying systems.
The Pentek 158002 SlimLine water filter housing has outstanding chemical compatibility and is ideal for use in a variety of low-flow applications.
The Pentek 158002 features a pressure release button on the housing cap. Push this button before changing the filter and it will release the pressure in the sump and make it easier to take off, making changing the filter quick and easy.
The Pentek 158002 uses any 5" L x 2.5" W sediment or carbon drinking water filter.
The Pentek 158002 housing has 3/8" inlet/outlets in the black reinforced polypropylene cap.
Leaking is prevented by the dynamically sealing O-Ring. The O-Ring should be replaced periodically to prevent leaks.
The water filter cartridge is not included with the housing. This allows you to purchase the best water filter for your water supply.

Recommended Parts & Accessories:
Replacement OR-38 O-Rings. One o-ring is included with the housing purchase, but you should replace the o-ring periodically to prevent leaks.
Use silicone grease to lubricate the o-rings to prevent leaking.
Use the SW-1 housing wrench to remove the sump. The wrench should NOT be used to tighten the sump back onto the cap. Over tightening may cause damage to the o-ring.
Use a SL-BR stainless steel mounting bracket to mount the whole house housing.

Pentek #5 Slimline Housing Installation Information:
Easy to install #5 Slimline Water Filter System. The housing is 7" x 4-3/8" (178 mm x 111 mm). You will need to allow slightly more room in addition to the housing dimensions for installation.
3/8" inlet/outlet for easy installation on a cold water line.
A SL-BR mounting bracket is recommended for installation of the whole house housing.
NOTE: When installed, protect housing against freezing to prevent cracking of the filter and water leakage.
