Pentek CBC-10 Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today weíre looking at the Pentek CBC-10, also known as the 155162. This is an industry standard size cartridge, approximately 10 inches long by 2 Ĺ inches in diameter, which means itís going to fit into many standard drinking water housings. Like the common HF360 from Culligan. Now the CBC-10 is an extremely dense 0.5 micron carbon block that Pentak internal testing has certified to remove 99.95% of cysts and microorganisms, like cryptosporidium and giardia. These are nasties that will make you so sick that if you donít die, youíll wish that you had. It also has a very high level of chlorine reduction for a cartridge of this size. Pentek internal testing certifies it for 20,000 gallons. That is a lot of water for a cartridge this small. The entire cartridge is manufactured from FDA approved materials, and Pentek was really smart. They wrapped the entire cartridge in this Endurawrap stuff. Itís a polyolefin bi-laminate that simply captures sediment on the exterior, not allowing it to imbed within the carbon and clog the cartridge before the carbon is truly exhausted. Now something a lot of people donít know about carbon blocks, is that theyíre very good for high temperature applications. This cartridge is rated to handle temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. So feel free to put it in a high temp housing and use it on hot water. Again, this is the Pentek CBC-10, also known as the 155162, and Iím your host Aquaman with Filter Doctor.com. Thanks for watching.
