Pentek NCP-BB Video Transcript
Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the Pentek NCP-BB.
This is an industry standard size cartridge approximately 10 inches long by 4 ½ inches in diameter, which means it’s going to fit into a vast array of whole house filter systems. Probably the most common would be the HD950.
Now this filter uses a special carbon impregnated, non cellulose media to create a dual purpose cartridge. It will filter sediment down to 10 microns, which is about half the size of a speck of milled flour, and it will reduce minor taste and odor issues for low level chlorine problems.
It’s perfect as a polishing filter, the last filter in a series of filters for whole house filtration, or as the polishing filter in a reverse osmosis system.
It fills a unique niche because it offers great flow, but not quite as good chlorine removal as a carbon block, which offers significantly lower flow and more pressure loss.
It’s also a non cellulose media, which means it can be used either treated or untreated water without fear of harboring bacteria.
This is the Pentak NCP-BB, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com.
Thanks for watching.
