No matter the water type, always use Water Softener Sani-System twice a year. Also, use Sani-System with a new water softener, any time service work is performed by a technician (not including adding salt), or when a boil alert is issued.

Pour entire packet into the brine well. If no brine well is present, pour entire packet into bottom of brine tank when salt is nearly empty.
Manually regenerate the softener according to the manufacturers specifications. Regenerate a second time if necessary.
Store sanitizer in a cool, dry location. Rubber gloves are suggested when handling this product. Read relevant MSDS before handling product.
