QC-1 TDS Monitor Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the HM Digital QC-1. Now the QC-1 is a TDS monitor. This differs from a meter, which will give you an exact reading, typically on an LCD screen, of the measured water. A TDS monitor; merely gives you a green light or a red light based on a pre-set TDS level. Now, you set the QC-1 in the back; the back panel comes off and there are eight selectable switches. Each switch pertains to a specific level of TDS, and that information is found in the instruction manual that comes with the unit. You tell it the level of TDS that you want, ranging anywhere from 1 to 50 parts per million, in increments of course, and then when it’s time to check, you press the button on the front and you get either a green light; the water is still below the selected TDS level, or a red light; the water is above the selected TDS level. And that’s it. It has a single sensor. It’s probably going to be used to measure the out bound water that’s already gone through either a reverse osmosis or a deionizing system. And it’s going to tell you if you’re maintaining that level of quality that you set the quick check to. That’s all it does, it’s a basic quick check TDS monitor. It’s the QC-1 from HM Digital, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
