Rusco: The Sediment Filter that's American Made

What mesh size/micron ratings do the Rusco filter screens come in?
How to use a Rusco sediment filter for irrigation or heavy organic sediment:
Use a large Rusco sediment filter such as the
Rusco 2-30-F. On surface water applications with organic matter, leave the ball valve partially open. This will flush out the grass and other organic material continuously during operation.
Do you have any guidelines for the mesh size that I should use for my application?
MESH SELECTION: The information shown here is general in nature because of the many variations in shape, size and specific gravity of the materials being filtered.
| Material in Water | To Protect | Use Mesh # |
| Shale, shell | General Use | 24 |
| Debris | General Use | 24,30,40 |
| Pipe scale, Course sand | Sprinkler Systems, faucet aerators, sand sensitive valves | 40-60 |
| Fine sand, Grit from new wells | Drip irrigation systems, faucet aerators, sand sensitive valves
Poultry growers, watering devices (.010)
Fogger nozzles | 100-140
100 (.006” opening)
140 (.004” opening) |
| Very fine sand and grit | Pre-treatment
Pre-treatment, ultra water systems, R.O. etc. | 250-500
1000 |
| Algae | Grows in presence of light under clear filter cover | Use a Sun Shield |
| In general, use the coarsest screen deemed necessary to filter the material you want removed. This will result in longer runs between blow-downs. |
