TDS-4 TDS Meter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here. Today we’re looking at the HM Digital TDS-4. Now, the TDS-4 is a total dissolved solids meter that comes from the factory pre-calibrated with a range of 0 to almost 10,000 parts per million total dissolved solids. It is very accurate, with an accuracy of plus or minus 2% on the TDS reading. It has an auto shut-off feature, and uses two 1.5 volt button batteries, with an expected approximate life of 1,000 hours. Now, those of you who own RO systems or deionizing or demineralizing systems; you need a TDS meter, because, you should be measuring both the incoming and the filtered water and then do some simple math to verify that your system is actually reducing the total dissolved solids. It’s also a great tool for those of you who do hydroponic gardening, and own aquariums, and anyone who is really into coffee. I’m not talking about you just drink your coffee in the morning and that’s it, but if you are really into your coffee and you try a variety of types of brewing and different beans; you should own a TDS meter, because, the level of TDS in your water will affect the end result of a good cup of coffee. If you haven’t had a good cup of coffee with low TDS water yet, you need to check that out. This is the TDS-4 from HM Digital. Now let me zoom in here closely and show you what it looks like. Again, this is the TDS-4 from HM Digital, and I’m your host Tony, the Filter Doctor. Thanks for watching.
