The Culligan comparable carbon water filter by Tier1 is a 5 micron carbon block filter. The PRE-RO water filter is used in Culligan Reverse Osmosis Systems H-5, H-8, H-82, H-83, AC-15, AC-30 and AC-50. The CTO/2 series carbon block filter cartridges are manufactured with highly pure activated carbon that is acid washed. The carbon activated particles are fused in order to form a uniform block to enhance absorptive efficiency and capacity. The carbon filter has superior performance in dirt-holding capacity and removing carbon fine particulates. The carbon filter reduces chlorine taste and odor, sediment and contaminants from filtered water.
