The GE FXWTC filter cartridge features spiral wound carbon paper construction. NSF/ANSI Standard 42 Certified for Materials Requirements only. The GE SmartWater FXWTC water filter cartridges fit in standard whole house water filter systems and Reverse Osmosis Systems for 10-inch x 2.5-inch filters. A GE FXWTC comparable filter is the less expensive C-1 Water Filter. The C-1 filter is the same 5 micron Powdered Activated Carbon Water Filter.
