    description Instructions
    1. Note: Filter must be pushed firmly into receiver and turned until filter is locked in place. If filter is not locked correctly, water will not flow.
    2. DO NOT use any tools to install this filter
    3. Twist the old filter a quarter-turn counterclockwise
    4. Pull the filter straight down and discard (don't worry, the water will shut off automatically)
    5. Fill the new filter with water (you can use the cold water faucet on your kitchen sink)
    6. Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops
    7. Twist the filter a half-turn clockwise
    8. Reset your change filter light (if your fridge has one)
    9. Flush filter with 3-4 gallons of with water until water runs clear. Some noise is not uncommon as air is purged from the system.

Made in the USA with a premium 0.5 micron coconut carbon block to reduce many impurities commonly found in drinking water, before they reach your glass. Independently tested to NSF/ANSI standards, this filter will ensure you serve only the crispest, cleanest and coolest tasting drinking water for up to six months after installation. Better yet, by ordering the USWF4060, you will also pay less and support local American manufacturing.


    Maximum Filtration


    USWF fridge filter carbon blocks are constructed from coconut carbon, and manufactured to a 0.5 micron rating. A 0.5 micron carbon block means the carbon is packed tighter compared to conventional 5 micron carbon blocks, effectively filtering much smaller contaminants. In addition to packing as much carbon as possible into our filters we also use only coconut shell activated carbon. Compared to other forms of activated carbon coconut shell carbon has more surface area and a higher density of micro pores leading to an overall greater porosity. The increased porosity of coconut carbon provides increased adsorption and filtration of volatile organic contaminants which is why it is considered as one of the best materials for water filtration. Not to mention that coconut shells are considered to be the greenest most environmentally friendly sources of carbon available. It is renewable, grows year round, and doesn't harm the tree
