The 650682 E4 Professional System by Viqua is an ultraviolet water disinfection system for reduction of bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants. The UV sterilization process exposes microorganisms in the water to UV light which disables their DNA, rendering them unable to reproduce further. The end result is water with significantly reduced contaminants such as Giardia, Salmonella, E. Coli, Cholera, and Cryptosporidium. This system provides a recommended flow rate of 22 gallons per minute (83 lpm) and includes other features like system failure alerts with light indication for each system part, stainless steel chamber material construction, lamp replacement reminder, and LED monitor display.
