American Plumber WRC25HD Radial Flow Carbon Filter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor. Today we’re looking at the American Plumber WRC25HD. This is an industry standard size filter cartridge, approximately 10 inches in length by 4 ½ inches in diameter, which means it’s going to fit into a vast selection of industry standard size filter housings, like for example, the popular Pentek HD950 and many others. Now this is a radial flow granular activated carbon filter. You see radial flow filters provide superior flow rates with very low pressure loss, this makes them an ideal choice for whole house filtration. And a significantly better choice than regular axial flow granular activated carbon filters. You see they do this by sandwiching a thick layer of granular activated carbon between two layers of 25 micron spun polypropylene. Now, this filter is NSF Standard 42 certified for material quality and will reduce chlorine taste and odor, organic and inorganic contaminants, and of course, sediment. Now, if you want to deal with a chlorine or other odor problem at the whole house level, this is a great choice. And if you’ve tried other carbon filters like an axial flow GAC or a carbon block and you suffered pressure loss and flow restriction, then this is what you’ve been looking for. Again, it is the American Plumber WRC25HD, a radial flow granular activated carbon filter, and I’m your host Tony the Filter Doctor. Thanks for watching.
