Culligan CP5-BB Sediment Filter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with Today we’re looking at the Culligan CP5-BB. You may know it by the model number on the package, the CP5-BBS. It’s an industry standard size cartridge approximately 10 inches in length by 4 ½ inches in diameter, which means it fits in many whole house filter housings. Probably the most common that receives this size is the HD950. Now the CP5-BB utilizes a 5 micron resin impregnated cellulose, and they weave polyester fibers into the cellulose for added strength and durability. It is NSF 42 certified for materials. This is a perfect cartridge for any treated water supply. You need to avoid untreated water because microorganisms can live and grow on cellulose media. So any water that’s chlorinated, uv’ed, ozonated or that you’re otherwise confident does not have microorganisms in it. The CP5-BB will have an approximate filter life of 12,000 gallons, but that is going to depend significantly on your circumstances. How much sediment do you have? How much water are you using? If either of those are very high you may need to change the cartridge more frequently. Again, this is the Culligan CP5-BB, and I’m your host Aquaman with Thanks for watching.
