Culligan FM-15 Faucet Mount Water Filter Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with Water Wisdom sponsored by WaterFilters.NET. Today's product is the Culligan FM-15 faucet mounted filter system. Now, this little filter system is the #1 selling faucet mounted unit that we offer. And, I mean, we haven't done polling on this or anything, but if I had to guess why, I would say it's because of the way it feels when you first pick it up. This thing feels like it's built like a tank. You can just tell that it's not flimsy like some of the filter systems, the faucet mounted filter system that you see. And, I don't know about you, but I like things that are made out of metal, not made out of plastic, and this attachment piece, that I'll zoom in on here in a minute for you. The attachment piece is all made of metal, and the mechanism that goes from filtered water to unfiltered water is also a metal piece, so it just feels solid. It's also got a really, small size and design to it, so that it's not going to get in your way, when it's mounted on your faucet. Now the filter inserts into the bottom here. I'm gonna remove it for you, so you can see. There it is, there’s the filter cartridge. Installs very easily, and this unit is rated for NSF Standard 42, and 53. 42 is mostly about chlorine taste and odor and sediment, really low level contaminants. But standard 53 is really high level stuff, dangerous stuff. Lead, microorganisms like Cryptosporidium and Giardia, Lindane, Atrazine, pesticides, herbicides, VOC’s, Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether. Nasty stuff, that nobody wants to drink. Now Culligan's been smart, they put together a little packet here with adapters, because the days of universal faucet threads are long gone. So this thread on this unit may not fit, but one of these adapters will cause it to fit your faucet. And then, of course, there’s complete instructions, and even a filter change reminder sticker, because this is an inexpensive unit so it does not have any kind of electronic or other filter indicator light on it. So you've got a little sticker to remind you. And, it's the Culligan FM-15, our best selling faucet mounted unit.

Now I'm gonna zoom in here real quick and just show you the details up close, ok. As I indicated the attachment piece is made of metal, and you can see here this is just a very solidly built little metal piece. And obviously on the bottom here, your unfiltered water will come out the bottom here, through a screen just like on your faucet probably. And then of course by removing this small sticker, you open up the opening where the filtered water comes out. And again you can see how the filter simply screws in, to the inside filter system there. And then the lever, it's actually a push pin, a push-pull pin, you simply pull for filtered water, and it stays in place when there's water pressure, and then it retracts, and it does that on a spring load. So you can get filtered and unfiltered water out of this unit. That is the Culligan FM-15. I'm your host Aquaman and thanks for watching.
