Katadyn 2110070 Drip Ceradyn Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the Katadyn 2110070. This is the Drip Ceradyn. It is a gravity filter system utilizing three 0.2 micron silver impregnated ceramic filter cartridges with a hollow core. These do not have the granular activated carbon core like the Gravidyn filters which are also compatible with this filter system. Now, the Ceradyn will produce about a gallon of water an hour, and it is highly purified water because the 0.2 micron porosity of the ceramic filter reduces protozoa, pathogenic bacteria, and microbial cysts like cryptosporidium and giardia. It will, of course also remove sediment and turbidity; anything larger than 0.2 microns. Now, perhaps the greatest feature of these systems is the ceramic filter cartridge, which is highly reusable. Simply take the provided green Scotchbrite and under running water scrub the outer surface, and then reinstall and you’re back in business. Katadyn even provides this handy little measuring tool. Once you can put this measuring tool around the filter, that means the filter has thinned to the point that it needs to be replaced. Filter life is long, approximiately 40,000 gallons. That is a lot of water, and this is a great system; super easy to put together. Let me show you how easy it is. Again, this is the Katadyn 2110070, the Drip Ceradyn gravity filter system, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
