MWF Fridge Filter with Install Video Transcript

Hey everyone, Aquaman here with Today we’re looking at the genuine GE MWF. The MWF replaces a whole variety of fridge filters from GE. The most common model numbers replaced by the MWF are the FXRC and MXRC. Here’s the rub; when replacing an FXRC, MXRC, HXRT or FXRT, you need an adaptor that is sold separately. So make sure you verify whether or not you need the adaptor for your MWF replacement. The MWF is NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified so it removes a long list of contaminants, and the usual suspects are on the list; chlorine, sediment, lindane, atrazine, lead, mercury, toxaphene, benzene, asbestos, cysts and microorganisms like cryptosporidium and giardia, all the nasties that you don’t want in your drinking water. It’s also certified for the unique laws and requirements of the state of California. The MWF is usually found on the right, in the back on top in your refrigerator and filter life is approximately six months. As I always say, don’t ever go longer than six months on a fridge filter change, it’s just a bad idea. The MWF is very easy to change; let me show you how it’s done. Again, this is the GE MWF, and I’m your host Aquaman with Thanks for watching.
