This PEX tube is 3/4-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) inside diameter and 7/8-inch outside diameter. The bend radius is 7-inch. PEX is part of a water supply piping system that has several advantages over metal pipe (copper, iron, lead) or rigid plastic pipe (PVC, CPVC, ABS) systems. It is flexible, resistant to scale and chlorine, doesn't corrode or develop pinholes, is faster to install than metal or rigid plastic, and has fewer connections and fittings. - PEX is flexible, making it easy to install and service. It can bend around most corners without a fitting or coupling. For example, 3/8-inch pipe may be bent to a 4-inch radius and 1/2-inch pipe to a 5-inch radius and 3/4-inch pipe to a 7-inch radius
- The flexibility of PEX allows it to be supplied in coils meaning installations under the slab can be made in a single, continuous length without the need for fittings
