This great easy to use sediment filter, reduces particles 10 microns in size. The large area of this filter, measuring at 30 x 2.5 inches further ensures greater filtration capabilities. It is recommended to use this filter for commercial applications. In addition the spun-wound material and graded density of the filter allows for a large dirt holding capacity, compared to that of other sediment filter media. In particular this filter will capture contaminants such as dirt, sediment, sand, and silt. An added plus is the ability for the polypropylene material to impede bacteria growth. Reduced Contaminants

The TIER1-P10-30 reduces the following contaminants:

  • Dirt
  • Sand
  • Sediment
  • Silt

Instructions

  1. Turn off water supply. Press red pressure-relief button (if present)
  2. Unscrew housing. Remove large o-ring, wipe clean and set aside
  3. Discard used filter cartridge
  4. Wash housing with dish soap and warm water using a nonabrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly
  5. Fill 1/3 with water. Add about 1 tablespoon of bleach and scrub to disinfect. Rinse thoroughly
  6. Lubricate o-ring with clean silicone grease. Change o-ring if any damage cuts or degradation are present. Insert o-ring in groove
  7. NOTE: This step is important to ensure a proper housing seal. Make certain the o-ring is seated level in the groove
  8. Insert new filter cartridge
  9. Screw housing onto the cap and hand-tighten. Do not over tighten. Make sure cap standpipe slips into cartridge
  10. Turn on water supply. Press pressure-relief button (if present). Check for leaks before leaving installation
