Pioneer Filter Housing Kit Benefits
The whole house Pioneer housing and lead reduction filter kit provides filtered water to every faucet. This kit includes the Pioneer filter housing and one whole house lead reduction filter. By centralizing your water filtration needs you can ensure that your water can be easily monitored and is convenient to manage. The housing system uses LED lights to signal filter status and notify the owner if it is time for a filter change. Green means the filter is working fine and within the first 90% of its filtration life, the yellow means the filter has approximately 0-10% of its life remaining, and the red LED means the filter should be exchanged. No guessing when an exchange may be necessary. The Pioneer filter significantly reduces lead, cysts, and more and is certified to NSF/ANSI standard 53 for substance reduction. Utilizing activated carbon block filtering media this filter reduces contaminants down to .5 microns in size and features a long filter life of over 88,000 gallons of water. The reduction of lead from water is a growing concern as aging infrastructure and plumbing continue to erode and leach unwanted contaminants into the water. Ensure your water is filtered and tasteful with the whole house Pioneer housing and lead reduction filter kit.
High Quality Filtration
This filter is designed to reduce a wide array of contaminants that commonly appear in your drinking water. Inlcuded on this list are big players like lead and chlorine. Lead is an increasing concern as aging infrastructure and plumbing continue to erode and leach material into the water on its way to your home. Chlorine is a commonly used water disinfectant that, while effective at its purpose, can cause unpleasant tastes and odors in your water. Removing these contaminants while providing a filtration down to 0.5 microns means you will be providing cleaner, great-tasting water throughout your home.

Significant Contaminant Reduction
The Pioneer filter cartridge reduces chloramines, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, giardia, lead, and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), which are bio-permanent chemicals that do not break down naturally! The EPA suggests that water containing above 70 parts per trillion of these chemicals is above safe levels. The Pioneer Filter is certified to NSF/ANSI P473 standard for reduction of PFOA and PFOS. This filter ensures your water contains much fewer unwanted water contaminants.

User Convenience Features
The Pioneer system comes with user convenience features that make operating and maintaining the system more simple than traditional whole-house system and sump housing filter options. By retaining aspects of the point of entry options such as sumps and tank systems, this Pioneer whole house option provides benefits of each. This includes easy media/cartridge replacement like a sump housing and the high flow rate of a tank system to meet your home's water demands. Below are two additional features that make the Pioneer system stand out from alternative water solutions.
LED Replacement Notifications:
Real-time Dynamic LED System monitors water and flow rate and provides a visual color-coded notification to the homeowner, letting them know when to replace their filter. Three visual color-coded stages are displayed to show this status. If the battery is determined to below the middle light LED will turn white.
LED replacement notifications make it simple to monitor the status of the filter, with simple color-coded displays you can quickly and easily gauge which stage of the life the filter is currently operating within. With this easily recognizable visual, you can relax and forget about worrying when your filter was installed and how much longer its optimal life will be. Green will be displayed for the first 90% of the life of the filter, yellow will be shown as a reminder during the 10% of filter life remaining, and red will signify that the filter is ready to be exchanged.

Easy Installation and Filter Replacement:
Pioneer uses state-of-the-art snap-ring technology to eliminate the need for cumbersome tools. Homeowners can easily replace the filter in their Pioneer system by following a few simple steps. Press the red pressure relief valve and pull up the snap ring. Lift top cap.
With any system, media will need to be replaced over time. Unlike tank systems that generally require an entirely new tank be purchased, the Pioneer system offers the convenience of a filter style system. The Pioneer system uses a replacement filter cartridge which is simple to install and requires no additional tools to complete a filter exchange.
NOTE: It is advised to leave at least three feet of open space above the system for replacement cartridges.
