The GE SmartWater FXHSC water filter has a pleated paper construction. The GE FXHSC filter cartridge is resistant to chemicals and corrosion. The GE SmartWater FXHSC is designed for purity, bacteria resistance, and chemical resistance. The GE SmartWater FXHSC water filter cartridges fit in number 10 Big Blue whole house water filter systems. Replace the GE FXHSC heavy duty Sediment Water Filter cartridge every 3 months or or when flow rate is significantly decreased. A GE FXHSC comparable filter is the less expensive R30-BB Water Filter. The R30-BB filter is the same pleated filter with a 30 micron rating.
