The GE XWF replacement refrigerator water filter is ideal replacement filter for select GE french door and side-by-side refrigerators manufactured after June 2018. This filter uses carbon block media to provide a high degree of contaminant reduction and water enhancement. The XWF filter supports a flow rate of up to .5 gallons per minute and has a filter life of about 6 months or 170 gallons depending on water quality and usage. Installation Guide

Instructions

  1. Line up the arrow on the filter with the arrow on the filter cartridge holder.
  2. Gently push the top of the new filter up inside the holder.
  3. Slowly turn the filter to the right until it stops. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. The filter will move about a quarter turn or 90 degrees.
  4. Run water from the dispenser for 2 gallons or approximately 5 minutes to clear the system. (Water may spurt out and air bubbles may be visible during this process.)
  5. Press and hold the RESET WATER FILTER button (if applicable) on the dispenser for three seconds.
