Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I just installed my new tankless RO, why is the water coming out yellow?
A: The RO membranes are packaged in a food grade glycerin, the water will run clear once the membrane is completely flushed. It is not recommended to drink this water, but it can be used for cleaning if desired.


Q: Why does my RO system make noise when I’m not using it?
A: The RO system has an automatic flush cycle that takes place after the system has been idle for 5 minutes, and again after the system has been idle for 12 hours. The flush prolongs membrane life and ensures you get a fresh clean glass from the system every time.


Q: Do I have to use the smart LED faucet or can an alternative?
A: This system is compatible with any RO / Drinking water faucet, however you will need to listen for the filter change beep and use the filter life indicators on the front of the system to identify when to change the filters.


Q: How do I reset the filter life after changing the filter?
A: Press and hold the CF or RO filter reset button on the front of the system for 5 seconds. This is a capacitive button so there is no haptic feedback, just firmly press your finger over the button and hold for 5 seconds.


Q: What are the electrical requirements for the power cord?
A: This system requires a 110-120V AC electrical outlet to operate.


Q: What tools will I need for installation?
A: See Page 7 of the manual. The following tools may be required during the installation:

• Teflon tape
• Screwdriver
• Wrench
• Tube cutter
• Flashlight
• Paper towels
• Electric drill

Q: What size piping is the system compatible with?
A: It connects to 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch supply lines.


Q: What is the size requirement for the RO faucet?
A: The installation hole must be 1-1 ½ inches in diameter. (If the hole for the faucet is larger than 1 1/2”, a mounting plate will be required.)
