    The RFC-20 Whole House Filter Replacement Cartridge by Tier1 is sized at 20x2.5 inches, creating a greater surface area, which in turn gives you more filtration power due to the fact it has more area to work with and water pressure. Conveniently the outer shell of this filter is rated at 70 microns. In addition to the 70 micron outer shell a 25 micron spun polypropylene core offers great filtration as compared to the OEM version. The Radial flow design significantly reduces the accumulation of carbon fines, whereas most GAC filters have the issue of carbon fine buildup, the RFC-20 by Tier1 does not.
